Eric Claesson's cinematic music features moments of cavernous spaghetti western guitars, electro-trash keyboards, haunting accordions, and Flamenco inspired strumming. However his diverse songs find common ground through introspective and tension building qualities.

This Swedish-born composer who splits his time between Los Angeles and Seattle pulls themes from his environment for inspiration. His first record Scowlers draws on the ocean, maritime culture, and train yards, a direct result of his many years in the port city of Seattle.

Officially trained only on guitar, his ability to pick up other instruments keeps listeners on their toes and provides a variety of sounds. As producer, Eric shoots to capture a live and raw sound full of peaks and valleys. His influences include Ennio Morricone, David Bowie, Calexico, Jon Brion, Paso Doble bullfighting music, and Roxy Music.

He is currently working on his follow-up to Scowlers, scoring projects for film-students at Columbia University, writing record and concert reviews for LA RECORD and enjoying life in L.A. with his fiancé.

Eric Claesson's music is available for film scoring, video game scoring, internet-based shows or websites and theatre productions. Please send all inquiries or questions to eric@ericclaesson.com.
